After 15 years working in leadership roles within environmental nonprofits, I started Besijn Consulting LLC to support the people and organizations doing the essential work of protecting our planet. I’ve seen firsthand that the success of any conservation effort doesn’t just depend on good science—it depends on a strong mission, engaged communities, sustainable funding, and a team that’s set up to succeed.

At Besijn Consulting LLC, I bring together my background in wildlife management and conservation biology with deep practical experience in nonprofit strategy, project development, and program leadership. I understand the challenges that mission-driven organizations face—limited resources, shifting priorities, complex partnerships—and I’m here to help navigate them.

I specialize in providing strategic advisory services for nonprofits and NGOs. That includes helping organizations clarify their mission, build funding strategies, strengthen staff capacity, and deepen community engagement—all while staying rooted in ecological integrity and long-term impact.

This work is deeply personal to me. I believe restoring balance with nature is inseparable from building resilient, just communities—and that thoughtful, collaborative environmental work is one of the most powerful tools we have for shaping a better future.
